Hi, I'm Diego, a resourceful and passionate college student with experience working in, and leading, dynamic, high-performance engineering teams. I have hands-on experience with varied manufacturing methods, multidisciplinary systems, and engineering design principles. I consider myself an adaptable problem solver, able to effectively self-manage during independent projects and collaborate in a team setting.
I believe that pushing the boundaries of what is possible is at the heart of what drives engineering, and it can only be achieved when an exceptional group of people work together towards a common goal. I hope to continue pushing the boundaries of human ingenuity and charge on toward a sustainable future alongside you.

2023 Gravity Race Car Concept
The EGS23G is the motorless racing car concept for the TEC Racing – Gravity team, designed for the “Gravity Race Car” Series in Mexico & the Neumática GX Spanish Series. The aim of this design was to create a low-drag, visually attractive, competitive vehicle to catch the attention of the public and revitalize gravity races through innovation and competition. The “zero-size” steel spaceframe chassis is completely covered by a glass-fiber body with a large visor canopy, with only essential components like wishbones and tires open to the high-speed airflow
EthaGOX Liquid Rocket Engine
The EthaGOX engine is MRL’s first approach to liquid rocket engine development, currently being developed by myself and Ariel Gonzales. We have finished designing and are currently manufacturing a 3” engine powered by Ethanol and gaseous Oxygen (GOX). The construction of the motor will consist of a water-cooled aluminum combustion chamber and cooling sleeve to reduce costs and enable quick iteration. The development so far has been a challenge requiring us to go in-depth into fluid dynamics, control systems, high-pressure hydraulic design, and safety systems/procedures.

Hands-on experience
Throughout my high school and college career I had the opportunity of working on several projects and gaining hands-on experience with many manufacturing methods. This has helped me understand these processes in detail and become more aware of their capabilities and restrictions when designing mechanical components.
